A few years ago, the Museum embarked on a unique opportunity to create an oral history project called the Mobile Story Lab. One such interview conducted with long-standing volunteer Joan Faber, introduced us to the intricacies of western ranch life.
Witness candid moments like this! Come back every year for new volunteer perspectives.
The Museum is both proud and fortunate to be able to engage with a wide variety of individuals from our community in the course of our daily operations. One such group of people long involved, but little recognized is our ever-changing set of Mormon Missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints here in Cheyenne.
Watch two videos which provide a living, breathing account of the Boice PO Ranch Cart, the Medallions, and the general history of the Boice Ranch. These accounts are provided by Joan Faber, a Museum Volunteer, who grew up on the ranch and even played in the barn where the cart and medals were kept.
These objects are currently on display in the Museum’s Cheyenne Room.
