Cheyenne Frontier Days will drive 550 head of Corriente long horned steers from the pasture north of Cheyenne along I-25, and through the city streets into Frontier Park Sunday, July 13. The drive begins at 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of I-25 & Horse Creek Road north of the city. It then moves along I-25 on the Eastern frontage road to Hynds Blvd, turns south to Central Avenue to Kennedy Road, and then moves fro Kennedy Road to Carey Avenue and into Frontier Park.

Approximate arrival times at the following areas are as follows:

  • I-25 and Horse Creek Road 8:30 - 9:00 a.m.
  • I-25 frontage road and Riding Club Road 9:30 a.m.
  • I-25 and Vandehei Road 10:00 a.m.
  • I-25 and Central Avenue 10:15 - 10:30 a.m.

Please note: The Wyoming Highway Patrol will not allow parking along I-25 at any time during the Cattle Drive. Central Avenue between Kennedy Road and Hynds Boulevard will be closed while the cattle are on Central Avenue.

If you would like to cover the cattle drive from a wagon, please RSVP to CFD Headquarters with participant names at 307.778.7201 by Friday, July 11 to reserve wagon space. All media are welcome to join us for breakfast from 7 to 8:00 a.m. in the pasture area of off Horse Creek Road. Shuttles will leave from CFD HQ from 6:30 to 7:00 a.m. if transportation to breakfast is needed.
