The Cheyenne Frontier Days General Committee named the committee members for the 2006 celebration at a meeting last night. Off-going chairmen are Bill Benskin, Security committee; Dennis Smyth, Ticket committee; Jeff Rayment, Concessions committee; Gene Engrav, Indians committee.
Replacing Bill Benskin as Security Chairman is Rod Hottle. Hottle is the Program Coordinator for United Way of Laramie County. He holds a BA in History from the Virginia Military Institute and an MBA from Embry-Riddle University. He is a retired Colonel for the United States Air Force and a member of the Military Officers Association. Hottle has been involved with the Security Committee since 1990, and is a member of the Heels Organization.
Following Dennis Smyth as Tickets Chairman is Bob Reynolds. Reynolds is a retired Social Studies teacher from East High School. He holds a BA from the University of Wyoming and a Master of Science from the University of Southern California. He is a Life Member of the National Education Association and the Wyoming Education Association. Reynolds has been involved with the Ticket Committee since 1980, and is a member of the Heels Organization.
Replacing Jeff Rayment as Concessions Chairman is Darin Westby. Westby is an Engineering Supervisor for the State Parks and Historic Sites Department. He holds a BS in Engineering from the University of Wyoming. He was the Cheyenne Frontier Days Volunteer of the Year in 1997 and he is active in the Cheyenne Frontier Days Memorial Scholarship Foundation. Westby has been on the Concessions Committee for 12 years, and is a member of the Heels Organization.
Following Indians Chairman Gene Engrav is Lynne Boomgaarden. Boomgaarden is Director of the Office of State Lands and Investments. Lynne holds a BS in Zoology from the University of Wyoming and a JD in Law from the University of Wyoming. She is a member of the Wyoming Bar Association, the Cowboy Joe Club and the University of Wyoming Alumni Association. Boomgaarden has been on the Indians Committee for 8 years and was named Cheyenne Frontier Days Volunteer of the Year in 2000.
