Cheyenne Frontier Days Board Names New General Chairman

The Cheyenne Frontier Days Board of Directors has named Charlie West as General Chairman of Cheyenne Frontier Days.

West replaces outgoing General Chairman Ken McCann. "We are pleased to announce that Charlie West will head up the planning and work for the upcoming show," said Board of Directors President Dr. Mead Davis. "The Cheyenne Frontier Days Board of Directors would like to thank Ken McCann for his leadership over the past three years."

West is a real estate broker with Number 1 Properties in Cheyenne. He is a high school graduate of Buffalo High School, attended both Sheridan Jr. College and Casper Jr. College, and holds a degree in Banking from Colorado University. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Wyoming Association of Realtors and was the President of the Cheyenne Board of Realtors in 1999. West served on the Indians Committee from 1994 - 2000 and was the Indians Committee Chairman from 2000 - 2002. He was elected to the Heels organization in 2203 and served on the Cheyenne Frontier Days Board of Directors from 2005 - 2006.

"I am looking forward to getting to work on improving the upcoming show," said West. "We strive to improve Cheyenne Frontier Days each year, and we aim to make the 2007 edition the biggest and best ever."

The dates for the 2007 celebration are July 20 - 29, and planning is already progressing for next year's show. The Cheyenne Frontier Days General Committee will meet in the near future to review show changes and additions, and begin charting a course for 2007.
