Bon Jovi Will Rock Cheyenne Frontier Days On Opening Night, July 20: Tickets on sale 3/31
Cheyenne Frontier Days welcomes legendary rockers Bon Jovi on July 20 to open the Frontier Nights concert series at the 111th annual edition of the Daddy of 'em All.
"We are thrilled to add this huge rock event to our lineup this summer," said Contract Acts Chairman Joe Lopez. "I know that Bon Jovi will be an amazing night on the Cheyenne Frontier Days stage."
Bon Jovi has remained one of rock's biggest stars and has sold more than one hundred million albums worldwide. Remaining at the forefront of the music industry for over two decades, Bon Jovi continues to make headlines by recently winning the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Country Collaboration with Vocal. Bon Jovi also made history by becoming the first Rock & Roll Band to have a #1 hit on Billboard's Hot Country Chart in May of 2006.
Bon Jovi has followed up their multi-platinum album Have a Nice Day with a new album called Lost Highway, set for release on June 19. The first single from that new album, "(You Want To) Make a Memory," was released to radio on Tuesday. Bon Jovi is scheduled for live performances of "(You Want To) Make a Memory" on the upcoming CMT Awards broadcast, on Fox's "American Idol" and on NBC's "Today Show." Bon Jovi-watchers have already discovered the album's title song, "Lost Highway," in the new box office smash film, Wild Hogs. Another album track, "We Got It Going On," a duet with Big & Rich, is the theme song for the new Arena Football League season on ESPN.
In addition to his contributions in both the music and film genres, Jon Bon Jovi is a strong advocate for many charities including his recently launched project Phase V Homeownership Project in October 2006, designed to renovate 15 decaying homes in Philadelphia, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, the Saturn automobile company and a local charity for the effort.
