Cheyenne Frontier Days Names New Chairmen for 2007 Show

Cheyenne Frontier Days has named four new chairmen to the 2007 Cheyenne Frontier Days General Committee. The General Committee is already hard at work planning for the 2007 celebration.

Gunnar Anderson was named Grounds Chairman, and will replace Tom Tammen. Gunnar has been on the Grounds Committee for 21 years and became a member of the Heels organization in 1997. Gunnar is a graduate of East High School in Cheyenne and is the owner of Anderson Painting. He is married to Cheryl Corbin.

Bill Cole was named Contestants Chairman and will replace Jim Mueller. Bill has been on the Contestants Committee for 18 years and became a member of the Heels organization in 1995. Bill has a BS in Finance from the University of Wyoming and is currently an Assistant Administrator for Wyoming Workers Safety and Compensation. He is a member of the American Association of State Compensation Funds. Bill and his wife Jackie have two children, Matthew 6 and Marcus 3.

Joe Lopez was named Contract Acts Chairman and will replace John Tabor. Joe has served on the Contract Acts Committee for 15 years and became a member of the Heels organization in 2003. Joe is a heavy equipment operator for Laramie County. He is a member of the Wyoming High School Coach's Association and is the current President of the Cheyenne Official's Association. He and his wife Peggy have two children, Devon 19 and Jeremy 17.

Eric Nordberg was named Parades Chairman and will replace Bill Larson. Eric has served on the Parades Committee for 25 years and became a member of the Heels organization in 1999. Eric is a graduate of Mile High Reporting School and is a Court Reporter for Wyoming Reporting Service.

General Chairman Charlie West said that he is looking forward to getting started on the upcoming show. "The current General Committee is a dynamic group of people," said West. "They bring together diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise which will serve to strengthen Cheyenne Frontier Days."
