General Chairman Charlie West and former General Chairman Ken McCann together presented a donation to the local chapter of the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation. The donation totaled $8,230.62 and was the result of pin sales, rodeo ticket sales and contributions supporting the Tough Enough To Wear Pink effort.
Tiffany Smith, Executive Director of the Wyoming Affiliate of the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation, said that 75% of the money donated stays in Wyoming. The other 25% of donations goes to cancer research on the national level.
"Cancer impacts our family, friends, coworkers and volunteers. We felt compelled to join the Tough Enough To Wear Pink campaign this summer and make a contribution," said Ken McCann. "We are pleased to be making this donation."
"We are discussing how we will continue this effort in 2007," added Charlie West. "We are proud that our volunteers, community members and rodeo personnel are Tough Enough To Wear Pink."
