CFD Scholarship Deadline

March 1 is the deadline for scholarship applications for the 2007/2008 school year to the Cheyenne Frontier Days Memorial Scholarship Foundation according to Mike Lane, President of the Foundation.

Lane said, "These scholarships are open to CFD volunteers and dependents of CFD volunteers. Applicants may plan to attend, or be attending, any college, university or trade school." Lane noted that immediate family members are eligible to apply and the CFD volunteers must be currently active and have a minimum of five years of volunteer service. Scholarship applications are available at CFD Headquarters. To be eligible for CFD Scholarships, High School or College grade transcripts must accompany completed applications.

The Cheyenne Frontier Days Memorial Scholarships Foundation has awarded scholarships totaling $409,875 to 725 recipients since 1985.
Foundation board members are Mike Lane, Charlie West, Jim Hearne, Phil VanHorn, Ohrn Cook, Jim Johnson and Tim Allen.
