Def Leppard Will Rock Cheyenne Frontier Days On Closing Night, July 28: Tickets on sale 3/31
Cheyenne Frontier Days welcomes legendary rockers Def Leppard on July 28 to close the Frontier Nights concert series at the 111th annual edition of the Daddy of 'em All.
"We are thrilled to add this huge rock event to our lineup this summer," said Contract Acts Chairman Joe Lopez. "I know that the Def Leppard show will be an amazing night on the Cheyenne Frontier Days stage."
Def Leppard has come a long way from their first rehearsal session in an old spoon factory in Sheffield, England almost thirty years ago. Since that fateful day, the band has launched countless sold-out tours across the globe and has racked up album sales of over sixty five million copies worldwide. Additionally, the band has received the prestigious Diamond Award, which recognizes sales over ten million, for both their classic Hysteria and Pyromania albums. This double-honor puts them in some pretty impressive company; when Def Leppard received their second Diamond Award for Pyromania, they were one of only five rock bands in history to reach this mark. The other groups are Pink Floyd, The Eagles, Van Halen and Led Zeppelin.
The band most recently released their twelfth studio album, Yeah!, a fourteen song celebration of the music that made Def Leppard want to become a band in the first place. The not-to-be missed collection includes the band's take on classic tracks by the likes of Kinks, Badfinger, T. Rex, David Bowie, Sweet, Roxy Music, Mott the Hoople, Free, Faces and Thin Lizzy among others. This clever tributes album was received with critical acclaim and debuted in the Top 20 of Billboard's Top 200 Album Chart, marking it as the group's tenth consecutive Top 20 debut.
