RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR WYOMING IDOL, 2006

KLWY FOX TV Presents Wyoming Idol
at the Frontier Park Oasis Area, July 27 & 28

You must be a legal US citizen or a permanent US resident who is eligible to work full-time in the United States. You must be 18 to 28 years old on July 27, 2006. (This means you must be born on or between July 27, 1978, and July 28, 1988) If you were born before or after this window, you are not eligible to participate. Bring valid proof of age and photo identification to the competition.

Interested contestants should sign up at the FOX TV booth outside the main gate of Frontier Park in Cheyenne, Wyoming starting at 8 a.m. on Thursday July 27, 2006. Frontier Park access gates open at 11:00 a.m.; contestants should be at the Oasis Area stage at 11:15 a.m. The Oasis Area is located just inside the main gate of Frontier Park. Each contestant and/or finalist will be allowed free entry into Frontier Park for the Wyoming Idol competition with a valid Wyoming Idol badge. Family, friends and guests must purchase gate admission or hold Cheyenne Frontier Days tickets for park entry.

There is NO guarantee that contestants will be able to audition. Space will be limited due to time constraints, and the order of the auditions will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. You will be required to fill out, sign, and agree to all of the terms and conditions of our required forms, including release forms giving permission for concerning the possible taping and/or recording of your name, likeness, voice, conversation, image, in the form of video and/or still photography, to be used in future WyoMedia Corporation promotions.

Be prepared to sing a cappella (without music) a song of your choice for up to 1 minute and 30 seconds, and then possibly answer a few questions from the panel of 5 local judges. You will be judged in the following categories: singing ability, versatility, stage presence, appearance, and personality.

At the end of the preliminary round on Thursday, July 27, the judges will select 20 semi-finalists to be invited back on Friday, July 28, 2006. The top 20 will be issued new name badges to compete the next day. The top 20 will have the option to sing the song of their choice with back up music, or they can sing a cappella.

During the competition on Friday, July 28, the top 20 will be narrowed down to the top 10. The top 10 singers will be invited to compete at the Wyoming State Fair in Douglas, Wyoming on Saturday August 19, 2006. The top 10 must cover their transportation and hotel costs to compete in Douglas at the Wyoming State Fair. The top 10 will perform and compete as they did in Cheyenne. The top 10 will be narrowed down to 5, then 3, and then the Wyoming Idol winner will be announced.

The winner of Wyoming Idol will represent KLWY FOX 27. He or she will be flown, from a Wyoming city serviced by Great Lakes Airlines, to a guaranteed audition in front of an American Idol producer. City and dates will be determined at a later time. Guaranteed audition will NOT be in front of Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul or Randy Jackson.

Wyomedia Corporation will provide expenses for the winner to attend the American Idol producer auditions. Transportation and accommodations will be provided. Anyone else who wishes to travel with the winner will have to pay for their own expenses.

We reserve the right to disqualify and/or exclude, in our soul and absolute discretion, any individual from the competition for any reason or for no reason at all, including without limitation, violation of any portion of these rules, or tampering with the entry process or the audition process. We also reserve the right to change the rules and procedures at any time.

General Conditions: By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the producers and the panel of judges, which shall be final and binding. Your presence at the audition, and the presence of your friends, family members, and anyone else accompanying you, constitutes your and their consent and agreement to the recording and use of your and their performance, appearance, name, voice, singing voice, likeness and any musical or sound effects produced by you and/or them for use in connection with any television program, motion picture or the Internet for all purposes, as the same may be edited, in all media now known or hereafter created, throughout the universe, in perpetuity for no compensation, unless otherwise required by law.
If you and/or your friends, family members, or anyone else accompanying you to the audition, do not wish to be photographed, or do not agree with these terms, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE AUDITIONS AND DO NOT ENTER THE VENUE WHERE THE AUDITIONS ARE TAKING PLACE. Your and/or their attendance at the audition event will be conclusively deemed to be a waiver of any and all claims for invasion of privacy, defamation, etc.
All federal, state and local laws apply. Audition dates and locations are subject to change.
WyoMedia Corporation and the production personnel for the audition process, are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: i) any failure of transportation, bad directions, or inability for any reason to appear at an audition site or audition or appear before the judging panels; ii) any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by traveling to or from the audition venues, being present at the audition venues, participating in the auditioning process or being selected to or disqualified from continuing in the auditioning process and/or the show; or iii) any printing, typographical or technological errors in any materials associated with the auditioning process. NO WEAPONS, ALCOHOL, OR NON-PRESCRIPTION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES WILL BE PERMITTED AT ANY AUDITION OR DURING THE COMPETITION.
