Chuckwagon Cookoff

View and visit with authentic chuckwagon crews as they give a glimpse into life on the Goodnight Trail more than 100 years ago. Crews are given a standard set of ingredients, then judged on not only the wide range of foods produced, but also on wagon, tools, and campsite. The public may sample food on Thursday, July 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Food goes fast, so be there early!

Demonstration cooking takes place each day of the cookoff and the Championship Cookoff takes place on the final day. Located between the Indian Village andĀ Old Frontier Town. South of the Old West Museum. Championship buckles will be awarded during finals rodeo.
