The CFD Concessions Committee has 55 hard working and dedicated volunteers that work closely together as a team to organize, manage and operate very diverse areas of the park which contribute intrinsically to the financial stability of show. In other words, we have the great honor of being charged with the task of making sure that everyone has a great time!
CFD contracts with a professional concessionaire to manage all of the food and beverage sales on the park. The concessions committee oversees this contract to ensure that all of our visitor's food and beverage needs are met with courtesy and western flair.
We make sure that a well respected, clean and safe carnival is contracted and set up for all to enjoy. The committee also has trained volunteers to inspect all games on the midway to ensure that all games are winnable and legal.
We are also in charge of the operation and management of all of the exhibits on the park. These areas are the Exhibit Hall, Under B-Stand and the Avenue of the Rodeo Exhibit areas as well as the Wild Horse Gulch old west town.
We are also tasked with the challenge of booking regional talent for Free Entertainment Areas on the Park as well as the operation of the venues. These include the Oasis Stage at the front gate as well as the Teen Dance Club in the midway.
Along with the Buckle Club and other volunteers, our committee helps organize and put on the Challenge Rodeo for the physically challenged children in our community. We also sell beverages at the 4th of July Extravaganza and the Labor Day USTRC Roping.
